Georgians Celebrate Nebraska

Saturday - April 24^th, 2010

We were honored to have special guest and keynote speaker, Matt Davison.  Davison is most famously known for his remarkable touchdown catch against Mizzou in 1997.  He is currently the color analyst for both Husker football and the men’s basketball team on the Husker Sports Network.  Matt founded “Creating Captains”.  His foundation teaches young people to lead in our nation's schools and communities through the vehicle of sports.  

Georgians for Nebraska was proud to offer our members, Alumni and friends of the University of Nebraska an inside look at the latest happenings at the University, athletic department and most importantly Husker Football.  With this event coming the week after the Red-White Spring game and with Matt’s expertise on the Husker football program, I am sure no other group in the country will be as knowledgeable and prepared for the upcoming football season as we will be.

This event  included an autograph and picture session with Matt and a silent auction of incredible Nebraska memorabilia.  All proceeds of the silent auction will go to Matt’s foundation, Creating Captains.
