Cather Circle Alumnae Named Twenty-seven outstanding UNL alumnae have been selected for membership in the Cather Circle, the alumni association’s mentoring network for female graduates and students. Program Addresses Autism A new program at UNL’s Barkley Memorial Center will expand education, service and research related to young children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. Math, Nanotechnology Earn Grants The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has received two National Science Foundation grants totaling $17.4 million. An $8.1 million grant continues NSF support of the Materials Research Science and Engineering Center and its nanotechnology research through 2014. A $9.3 million grant goes to "NEBRASKA MATH," a statewide program aimed at improving mathematics achievement for all students and narrowing the achievement gap for at-risk students in kindergarten through third grade.
